Contentnea Creek flows 52 miles through Greene County.  Floating down the creek is like going back to a simpler time.  You can spend a restful day  or a few hours viewing beautiful flora and fauna and observing
wildlife.

There are three public boat ramps that currently allow easy access to the creek:  Speight's Bridge, Snow Hill and Edwards Bridge.

A soft landing site is currently being developed in the new county park property off Hwy 58 & 13.
